Default What's The Best Way To Track Adwords Effectiveness/conversions?

HI everyone,

Just curious, what is the best way to track how effective your Adwords are? Of course if you use a landing page and a dedicated number or if you ask, it's easy, but how about doing it automatically?

So far, I see 2 ways.

1. Using Adwords Website Call Conversions and you can have a special local number or toll free number provided by Google. This is to distinguish with non-Adwords visitors.

2. You can set up click events on submit buttons as conversion goals.

Any thoughts?

You can use Google Analytics, no? For example, setup Goals.

Also, what I have done is, I put a tracking pixel (javascript) on my client's website, and it is able to report back to my server the referral urls. Then, my server could see if the referral urls is from Google Adword clicks.

You can also use google analytics for an advance ROI analysis. It offers advanced conversion reports and conversion funnel analysis.

I had the same dilemma a while ago. Now I use call tracking by www.addsource.com
Also tried putting tracking pixel but didn't get all the data I wanted
