I have tried it with several web sites without much success. It wasn't worth the trouble for me.

We have used adwords, with quite a bit of success. We are in a competitive market, and it has brought a great return. It helps give us exposure for the highly competitive keywords within trade show industry.

That search button is a great feature to use on a forum. :-)

It depends on the industry you are in. For me to market in my industry( insurance ) I would have to pay up to $14 a CLICK. I am definitely not doing that. If I can give one piece of advice is to learn, research, test. I have spent a lot of money for nothing. My one recommendation would be is to get this ebook googlemoneypro.untecom.com. It will same you thousands of dollars and months of waisted time. It is definitely worth the money.

I use Adwords and it generates good traffic for me, but it took me several months of experimentation by trial and error to make it successful. It's not as slam dunk simple as it seems at first blush.

Ditto. Trial and error my friends, trial and error. You need to do constant of A/B split testing to see what works the best.

I've been getting quite a few clicks, yet no sales. I've been advertising for a few days now. I'm sure sales with come with time.

And I thought ours was competitive. Totally understandable not to go that route.
