Default When Pork Attacks

Many of you know Jennifer runs a blog called the Lactivist that is about breastfeeding babies and she sells tshirts there. Well, the The National Pork Board is threatening to sue her. These pork pukes are too stupid for words so just check out this blog post explaining the situation:

http://thelactivist.blogspot.com/200...stomps-on.html

Hopefully this blows up in their faces and they get their bacon cooked.

We need a "No Pork" smilie.

Well, first I was shocked and thought it was a joke. Then as I read more, I was very annoyed. I wonder if they don't have anything better to do. Plus, at this time with the Internet, blogs and social media, don't they understand how damaging a letter like this can be.

Well, if alienating a bunch of moms is the National Pork Board's idea of smart marketing, they've succeeded:

Pork People Pick on Lactivist

What a bunch of pigs those pork bullies are! I propose a boycott on pork. I'll stick to steak, chicken and fish, thank you.

I have heard it all now. If I was a pig farmer and belonged to that organization, I would be looking for someone’s job. Taking on women is not smart. Who is buying my product? Then to take on mothers. This is slipping into stupid. Then to take on breast feeding new mothers. You could do better taking on the Pope. That’s something for the Drudge Report. Where are the PC types when you need them.

I find it fascinating to watch how fast stories like this grow on the Internet. Ovbiously the National Pork Board and their lawyers had no idea how connected this little stay-at-home-running-a-hobby-site-mom is online!

I really liked Jennifer's stance that it is not about the shirt per se, but how she was approached. I wonder if some pot bellied porker is sitting behind a desk saying to himself..."why didn't we just send a polite e-mail"?

For crying out loud...she only has sold ONE shirt with this slogan, hardly worth the ruckus they have caused.
