Default What Is Difference Between Dofollow And Nofollow Links .?

Hi Friends,

Dofollow Link is a hyperlink that is able to tell all search engines to pass along it's page rank influence to an outbound link. If you will use or get do follow links, then search engines will count your link in the eyes of google, yahoo, bing etc as backlink for your site and you can get some positive value for your site ranking.

Nofollow Link is exactly the opposite. It is a hyperlink that removes the ability to pass on it's page rank status to other sites. Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine that influence the ranking of a particular website or blog in search engines.

Thanks and Regards

If you need to build backlinks for your site, just focus on getting some good dofollow backlinks. As this will help you in ranking your site in search engines. But you can have a minimum number of nofollow backlinks for your site for getting your site keywords ranked.

Hi everybody,

Dofollow links are hyperlinks that tell the search engines to pass along their page rank to influence on outbound links. This factor affects a lot for SEO purpose. If you get more do follow links, then search engines will decipher your links as back links and you have more chances to receive positive values for your site's ranking.

No follow links are exactly the opposite. These hyperlinks don't have the ability to pass on a page rank status to other websites. No follow links don't consider as crawling links from search engines and so the link associated with No follow websites won't crawl by search engines.

Thanks and regards

No Follow or Do Follow, what matters is the quality of those links. You can still get inbound human traffic from both of them. That traffic provides you the opportunity to convert people into loyal buyers.

Yaa, i fully agree with this and it's very important that your like must be from good relevant site. If you have a lots of dofollow back link from unrelevant sites then its not worthy for our work. So go with relevancy and quality of content.

I have seen some articles that mentioned No follow links are taken into consideration by Google. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yeah, I am a little confused because a no follow link is just the url as text isn't it?

Sure it would be read as just any other text on the page when it is visited by the bot?

I think a no follow link would have the attribute: rel="nofollow".

So for example:

Code:
<a href="signin.php" rel="nofollow">sign in</a>
So I think when the bot sees this attribute on the href tag, it just ignores it. But then I also heard that google bot keeps a "Social Score" when it sees your link on popular social network sites. So they do consider it even when it is a no follow. Quite confusing.

Have a look at this:
