Default Multi Store Fronts?

Has anyone had any luck finding a ecommerce site that is involved with multi store fronts? I have been reading up on this and have become highly interested in them.

Magento can absolutely support different stores and websites using the same database and installation. You can also pick and choose which products appear on which sites.

You may need some help from your host to configure using multiple domains because it involves changing the root directory location of certain domains on a server so that it loads another domainís content

Regards

I'm keeping my eye open for carts with that feature as well, I believe I read that cs cart does, but I don't personally have any experience with it.

Hello!

As guys before me said both Magento and CS-Cart have multi-store function.
Other carts that can boast of this feature are PrestaShop, OpenCart, Mijoshop, Aceshop, JooCart. There may be some other but I am not sure about them.
However, Mijoshop, Aceshop and JooCart combine OpenCart and Joomla. So, they basically have OpenCart's multi-store.
I would suggest you to read this post about platforms that support multi-store. It is very basic but it will give directions to start from.
From my personal experience I can say that I saw live Magento shop admin panel with more than 40 storefronts. To be honest it was extremely slow on the back end but I am not really sure that any other shopping cart will be able to handle this number of storefronts.

Default Multi store carts

Hi,

I'd have to recommend opencart. I run 4 stores from the single installation of opencart. It's very stable and it costs nothing. There are plenty of store templates (skins) out there (both free and paid) that can give you a really professional looking store.
