Default New Idea In The Travel Industry?

Hi, my name is Carsten..Im from Germany and have already started an own company almost four years ago. We are a sales outsourcing company for IT-comanies, but now I feel this business works ok, but it`s not my true PASSION!

So Im already looking for a new business idea in areas what I really LOVE..and that``s for sure TRAVELLING and all travel related issues. So far I haven`t worked in that field, but I would love to come out with an own business in that sector. My searches so far ended in two things mabe to do:

1) An online travel business model, but I think there are already so many players in that field and I wouldn`t know ho to setup an online or e-business.

2) A company which arranges niche or speciality travel offers, but as I already run a sole service company I would prefer something with a higher degree of scalability, for example selling product or doing business on the web.

Couls anyone help me out to open my mind am little bit, maybe with some travel business trend in the USA??

Thank you very much already!!

Lightbulb Ultimate Travel Outsourcing Business - Medical Tourism

Hello,

Business 2.0 had an amazing article on Medical Tourism that you should read. People are starting businesses that not only help Americans receive medical treatment overseas very inexpensively, but provide them with a vacation at the same time. You already have the outsourcing experience, this business is full scalable, and has to have the highest profit margin in any travel / tourism business.

General Overview:

Back surgery in Bangkok? Rhinoplasty in Rio? CAT-scans in Singapore?

A growing population of U.S. patients is venturing into the global village to receive world-class medical treatment at deep discount off domestic prices, and employers, entrepreneurs and third-party payers are beginning to cash in on the irresistible monetary pull of the movement.

I hope that helps,

Jeff Foster

Hey, you shouldn't be afraid to start a new business in a well-established market.

Internet already had Yahoo! and Altavista when Google appeared. Where's Altavista now?

If you're good at it, you can do better.

A niche business is also not a bad idea. Not bad at all.

Default Medical Tourismn

Jeff,

thanks al lot for your advice an the article aboout medical tourism. It`s very interesting, especially for Americans going to those countries. Here in Germany we have got a different health care system, what means so far it woul be very hard to offer this to German people because our system stilkl pays a lot for treatments here at home. But the future will be a little different.

I hvae to admit that Im not a big fan of health realtes business ideas because there are so many regulations and no-gos in that area even if it`s a big future market.

Thanks anyway for your help!
